Special Features: This helmet is a faithful and authentic reproduction of the army helmet Prussian and German in the nineteenth century.
It is a stiff, thick and resistant leather with a visor and a nape cover, of the same color. The visor is embellished with a gold metal coating and the neck lining is reinforced with a golden metal rod that reaches up to the tip. This was used to protect the back of the head from possible opponent attacks.
Two cockades located on either side of the helmet (at ear level) symbolize the Reich and the other symbolize the soldier's home state, here, Prussia. At its last is fixed the adjustable leather chinstrap, to be wedged under the chin or to fix just above the visor.
A gilded metal plaque depicting a golden eagle with spread wings adorns the front of the helmet.
The tip, also golden, at the top, made it possible to protect the soldiers from the saber blows of the cavalry.
The inside of the helmet is lined with a large piece of leather that can be adjusted by tightening the lace to fit according to the size of the head.
